The Port, the Pirates & All the Rest explores New Orleans history from the beginning of colonization through to the Civil War. The emphasis is on the history, geography and economy (though we don’t use those words; sleepwalking kids aren’t as fun!) 

Instead we wrap those lessons into stories kids love- stories about swamps flooding streets with alligators, stories about prisoners being forced to move to a hot, swampy colony, stories about pirates profiting off that port- and saving it from sure  ruin. Kids will be learning but they don’t have to know that!

This tour is an hour long and includes a visit to the French Market, the River and Jackson Square. Kids also receive a map that they can use as we go and keep as they leave!
